Mr Kosutic is internationally respected expert, with subspecialty interest in complex microvascular reconstruction following cancer resections - particularly Breast, Lymphoedema, Sarcoma/Limb, Face and Perineal Reconstruction.He is one of the UK-leading lymphoedema, sarcoma and breast reconstructive surgeons, based at The Christie Hospital in Manchester, one of the largest tertiary European Cancer centres.He is elected Chair of Lymphoedema and Lipoedema Special Interest Advisory Group of BAPRAS as well as Lead for Breast Reconstruction at The Christie.
He completed microsurgical fellowships at Charing Cross Hospital London and Sant Pau Hospital Barcelona,upon completion of plastic surgery training in Slovenia.He has PhD and MS degrees and has published 60 papers in international journals,cited over 360x in scientific literature.He recently published the first textbook on perineal reconstruction titled:Perineal Reconstruction:Principles and Practice.
He is frequently an invited speaker at top international conferences where he chairs panels on different topics (WSRM, EUROMICRO, EURAPS). Mr Kosutic is an active member of EURAPS, WSRM, Fellow of EBOPRAS and Royal College of Surgeons and was also Assistant Professor at the University of Maribor, Slovenia, EU.
