Dr Marcela Sanchez Vargas is a physician graduated from the Pontificia Universidad Javeriana in Bogota, specialised in maxilofacial plastic surgery and hand surgery at the hospital San Rafael.
She performed a Fellowship on oncological plastic surgery at the National Institute of Cancerology, trained in microsurgery in Mexico and currently leads the Breast Reconstruction group of Colsanitas with 18 years of experience.
She is an expert surgeon in high complexity breast reconstruction and breast surgery both, aesthetic and reconstructive aspects.
She has wide recognition nationally and internationally level where she has represented Colombia on several occasions within her area of expertise.
She is currently the National Head of the Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery Service of the Sanitas International Organization, whilst practising at the Clinica Universitaria Colombia and Reina Sofia Clinic.
